Film review

The story of three nerdy college students who are tired of being zeros and whose only desire is to fit in, attempt to go all out to throw the party of the year! The movie involves best friends Cedrick, James and Oliver, who have been inseparable mainly because all three are equally unpopular. In true coming of age movie style they now realise it is time for them to make their mark.

What makes this film distinctive from others is the use of song lyrics used to replace selected speech through the film. The effect of this helps express the character’s emotions which is similar to the famous YouTube hit ‘Songs in Real Life’ adding humour and clearly being presented throughout the film. Facebook Famous has noticeably captured the entertaining side of three young boys finding their way.

Cedrick is the tall, dark haired one, James is the skinny short one and Oliver usually feels like he doesn’t belong with them, he is so unpopular even with them. James decides to host the party.

While planning the party all three are confused on who to invite, therefore they invited every single person on Facebook hence the reason of the film being named ‘Facebook Famous’ but the main question is will anyone come?

The party day? Not much of a party while they’re waiting around for the guest to arrive, Minutes to hours and still no sign of their guest! So they think they’ll just ‘get the party started’

Being the first time ever anyone of them have drank they we are all eager, cracking open the beer and pouring vodka into shot glasses has them going crazy! To top off the evening they decide to add the cherry on top, Oliver has a surprise, taking their ‘party of the year’ to the extreme.

Home time! While walking the lads are definitely not seeking perfect love. But they see her, tall, hair stylishly flowing with the wind, beaming beautifully, and the first girl who has ever been so pleased to see them. Will one of the boys luck be in?

Interestingly, original, funny and will definitely be remembered by this critic!
